An opportunity is available for an ESL Teacher to support K-12 students at a Bronx, NY school. This contract position runs from September 2, 2025, through June 26, 2026, with a focus on a readiness program catering to students aged 5 to 21 years. The role offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, totaling 35 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging English as a Second Language instruction tailored to a diverse K-12 student population
  • Adapt lessons to support students with special needs within a small caseload
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment that promotes student growth and language acquisition
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop individualized learning plans and progress assessments
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide ongoing feedback to support student success

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification or experience in general education and ESL instruction
  • Experience working with students with special needs is highly valued
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students and staff
