Description The K-2 Classroom Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment for early elementary students. This role focuses on delivering age-appropriate instruction aligned with the school’s Core Knowledge/Classical curriculum while fostering academic, social, and emotional growth. The teacher contributes to the overall success of the school by promoting a culture of learning, collaboration, and student achievement. Compensation and Benefits Full-time, Exempt Salary based on education and experience Eligible for health, dental, vision, retirement, and paid leave benefits Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience in classroom instruction (student teaching or 1+ years preferred) Preferred Valid Colorado teaching license for elementary education Master’s degree in Education Experience with Core Knowledge/Classical curriculum Training in differentiated instruction and classroom management strategies Duties and Responsibilities Plan, develop, and implement daily lessons that align with the Core Knowledge/Classical curriculum for K-2 students. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs, interests, and abilities of students. Maintain classroom management and a positive, respectful learning environment. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to students and parents. Conduct parent-teacher conferences to communicate student progress and areas for growth. Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to enhance instructional practices and school programs. Maintain accurate attendance, grade records, and other required documentation. Integrate technology and instructional materials to support learning objectives. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives. Support school policies, procedures, and directives while modeling professional behavior. Perform other duties as assigned (e.g., recess, lunch duty, field trips).
