Description

Alternative Provision Tutor – Qualified Teacher (with QTS) Required Are you a passionate and patient educator with a great sense of humour? Do you thrive on thinking creatively to engage students who need a different approach to learning? If so, we’d love to hear from you! We are looking for a qualified teacher (QTS) to join our small, supportive team, delivering alternative provision to students aged 11-16 with SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and behavioural challenges. Experience in this area is desirable, but more importantly, we’re looking for someone who is: ✔ Well-organised and adaptable ✔ Able to build strong relationships with students, staff and other agencies. ✔ Confident in delivering both structured academic programmes and creative, interest-led lessons. Most students are Secondary aged students but due to their situations and challenges are working at a much lower level that expected for their age. We support and upskill our staff and we have several staff members who are primary age trained! What We Offer: - -A structured English and Maths programme with minimal planning required (full training provided) - Freedom to adapt lessons to engage students based on their interests - A small, friendly, and supportive team environment - Heavily discounted tuition for your own children Core hours: Hours can be flexible for the right candidate but our AP hours are Mon- Fri 9am – 2pm (with optional evening tuition if desired) Opportunities for additional cover work as we continue to grow . This is an exciting time to join us as we expand to support more students due to being an approved provider of alternative provision for Nottinghamshire County Council. If you’re passionate about making a real difference in education, we’d love to have you on board! To apply or find out more, get in touch today, we encourage visits to our centre to see how we work and to meet the team. If you would like an informal chat please feel free to call us to discuss this role further.
