JOB OVERVIEW

Loreto College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Teacher of Law to join our vibrant and successful Law department. Law at Loreto College is a popular subject which delivers high success rates and excellent student progression, with many students going onto fantastic destinations. The department runs a range of extra-curricular activities and trips that make Law an exciting subject to study at Loreto.
As a Teacher of Law at Loreto you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning under the leadership of the Head of Department. You will undertake regular assessment of students’ work and provide timely feedback. You will also monitor and support the progress and development of students using the college’s bespoke in-house systems, as well as building and maintaining positive relationships with students. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and delivery of the subject in line with awarding organisation specifications and through working closely and collaboratively with your colleagues.
The department is well-established and high achieving and works in a collaborative and supportive environment. Staff strive to achieve strong outcomes for all students, setting high expectations and delivering well organised and planned curriculums. The Law department offers excellent enrichment opportunities which includes the Law Society. Students also compete in the Bar Mock Trial Competition and compete in the University of Law’s Mooting Competition, where they debate against other schools and colleges.
