Essential Requirements:

  • Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications with a minimum level of Advanced Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent qualifications in area of Mechatronics and Robotics and/or Bachelor of Robotics & Mechatronics Engineering or Bachelor of Electrical / Electronic Engineering or Bachelor Mechanical Engineering.
  • Evidence of holding the appropriate teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and Training (see the candidate support document (here) for details ) OR a willingness to undertake our full time 14 week ‘Paid to Learn’ course
  • Have a minimum of three (3) years post qualification experience relevant to your industr

  • Newcastle Campus - 1 x permanent full-time
  • Ultimo Campus - 1 x permanent full-time
  • Wetherill Park Campus - 1 x permanent full-time

Essential Requirements:

Highly regarded:

  • Additional qualifications or experience in Manufacturing and Automation, Robotics, 3D modelling CAD, PLC programming and application
  • Experience in Electronics, designing and programming PLC’s with DC motors and linear actuators
  • Experience with designing mechanical equipment in a robotics environment
  • Experience in taking designs from concept through to manufacture

Paid to Learn: for candidates who do not hold an appropriate VET teaching qualification or equivalent, you have the option to be paid to learn as you transition from industry to teaching with guaranteed work following successful completion of the 14 weeks Training and Assessment course. Those who already hold the appropriate teaching qualification or equivalent are still eligible to apply.
