Salary: £160 - £250 per day (depending on experience)
GSL Education are recruiting qualified and enthusiastic Maths Teachers to join our partner secondary schools across Birmingham, with a focus on the Great Barr and Handsworth areas. We welcome applications for full-time, part-time, supply, and long-term positions starting September 2025.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be working towards it.
  • Recent experience teaching Maths in a UK secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and ability to deliver outstanding lessons.
  • Commitment to behaviour management, safeguarding, and student welfare.
  • Ability to set clear targets and use data to support pupil progress.
  • Hold a Child-Only Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply through GSL Education.
  • Right to work in the UK.

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and GCSE/A-Level.
  • Design and adapt lesson materials to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies and ICT resources to enhance student learning and progress.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes discipline, respect, and achievement.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with curriculum objectives.
  • Participate in CPD, staff meetings, parent evenings, and contribute to whole-school development.
