A leading further education provider in the North East is looking to appoint a dedicated and innovative Teacher of Maths to join their English and Maths department. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver high-quality teaching in both GCSE and Functional Skills Maths and make a real difference in learners’ lives.
The Role:

As a Teacher of Maths, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging and effective Maths lessons that cater to a diverse range of learners.
  • Using a variety of teaching, learning and assessment strategies to promote progress and achievement.
  • Differentiating lessons to meet individual needs and support inclusive education.
  • Monitoring and assessing student work, providing meaningful feedback, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Contributing to the design and development of curriculum materials and resources.
  • Supporting student recruitment, enrolment, and course-related administrative tasks.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A degree in a relevant subject and a recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Experience teaching GCSE and/or Functional Skills Maths.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for inspiring learners and a commitment to their progress and wellbeing.
  • Familiarity with learning technologies, student tracking, and progress monitoring systems.
  • A proactive and reflective approach to teaching and professional development.
