BACHELOR’S OR MASTER’S DEGREE IN DEAF EDUCATION, ACTIVE DHH TEACHING CERTIFICATION, AND 1+ YEARS TEACHER OF THE DEAF / HARD OF HEARING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

This position involves providing specialized educational support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing within a K-12 school setting. Located in Bushnell, FL, the role requires a committed educator to work full-time during the school year under a contract arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across grades K-12.
  • Collaborate with families, general educators, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Utilize specialized strategies and resources to enhance student learning and communication.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
  • Participate in professional development and clinical advisory sessions to maintain high instructional standards.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Florida Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) License is required.
  • Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills tailored to diverse student needs.
