An opportunity is available for a dedicated Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students within a K-12 educational setting. This full-time, onsite position offers an engaging environment to support and empower students with hearing challenges across all grade levels. The contract lasts for the full school year, providing a stable and rewarding teaching experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the individual needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across K-12.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state standards.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to support student success.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to optimize learning outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings and professional development.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Florida Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) license with endorsement in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education.
  • Experience working with K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students, families, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of assistive technology and auditory-oral or sign language methodologies preferred.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaboration.
