MINIMUM 1+ YEARS SPECIAL EDUCATION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

A full-time Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) is needed for the 20252026 school yearnearHampstead, Maryland. This is an itinerant K12 position serving students across the district. The assignment begins July 2025 and runs through mid-June 2026, offering nearly year-round support to students with visual impairments.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Maryland TVI Certification (Required)
• Experience working with K12 students with visual impairments
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Must be willing and able to travel between schools within the district

• Provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments
• Adapt instructional materials and support accessibility
• Collaborate with general and special education teachers, orientation & mobility specialists, and families
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliance with state/district guidelines
• Support students in developing independence and accessing curriculum
