Description

The duties and responsibilities of a Teacher shall include the following but not limited to:

  • Teach Physics at H1, H2 and H3 levels (includes lectures, tutorials, practical lessons; involved in setting and marking of assessments)
  • Be involved in the holistic development of highly able students through quality teaching and learning, pastoral care and co-curricular activities
  • Make meaningful contributions to the school (e.g. through committee work) and partner stakeholders (e.g. parents) to help students achieve learning objectives
  • Any other duties assigned by the Head of Department and/or School

Job Requirements

  • A graduate with a good Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant discipline or a related discipline
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Education or an equivalent teaching qualification will be an advantage
  • Experience and interest in mentoring students in talent development programmes such as Singapore Physics Olympiad and the Young Physicists Tournament would be an advantage (but not a requirement)
  • Enjoy teaching highly able students, and working with a diverse group of colleagues and stakeholders
  • A team player who is committed and possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • This is a 2-year contract (renewable) - for direct applicants, not seconded applicants
