WAGE RANGE: $22.00 - 24.50 Hourly JOB SUMMARY: Catholic Charities is seeking a self-motivated individual who is fun, child-centered, compassionate, trauma-informed, and culturally aware to serve as a School Age Teacher at its Northside Child Development Center. They will contribute to the daily interaction and supervision of children and are responsible for supervision of classroom including the planning and implementation of a developmentally appropriate program for assigned groups.  In the absence of the Supervisory Teacher, they may be responsible for supervision and coordination of classroom staff in assigned groups. They will maintain positive relationships with staff, children, parents, volunteers, and community. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Adhere to all licensing and accreditation standards. 2. Supervision of children at all times  3. Provide daily programming while ensuring all areas of development. 4. Assist with the coordination of lesson plans, assessments and program documentation. 5. Work with children’s individual needs; meeting children where they are. 6. Ensure communication with parents daily. 7. Provide supervision of room and direct other staff and volunteers in the absence of supervisory teacher. 8. Responsible to work where staffing is needed including working with the other age groups or classrooms. 9. Responsible for promptly and accurately collecting, entering, managing and reporting of client data into systems of record. 10. Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERTISE: * Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Development, Education or related field preferred.   * Must meet Minnesota Department of Human Services licensing qualifications as stated in Rule 3 for a Teacher.   * One (1) year of experience working in center-based child-care.    * Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.  * Ability to work with diverse and/or low income populations, including those who may be experiencing homelessness, unstable housing, and/or mental illness required.   JOB CLASSIFICATION: Regular; Full-Time; Hourly; Non-Exempt    CPR  Yes  Driving  Yes Operating specialized machinery (additional assessment may be required)  No  Walking or standing > 2 hours/shift  No  Lifting up to 25lbs without assistance  Yes  Lifting up to 50lbs without assistance  No  Physically restraining clients  No  Catholic Charities is an equal opportunity employer.
