Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Learning Enhancement Teacher plays a vital role in supporting students who require additional literacy assistance and learning support. This position involves working closely with students, teachers, parents, and external providers to create tailored learning experiences that foster growth and confidence.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Builds strong relationships with stakeholders and communicates with clarity and empathy.
  • Has experience editing and implementing support plans for students.
  • Possesses working knowledge of ADHD and ASD diagnoses and strategies.
  • Demonstrates excellent record-keeping and data analysis skills.
  • Has experience with reading intervention programs.
  • Understands NCCD requirements and can manage annual data collection.
  • Is confident in de-escalating behaviours, particularly in lower primary settings.
  • Is adaptable and thrives in environments where priorities can shift quickly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct assessments and manage support plans for Prep–Year 6 students.
  • Deliver reading intervention and differentiated learning support.
  • Maintain records, analyse data, and contribute to NCCD reporting.
  • Liaise with teachers, aides, parents, and external providers.
  • Support behaviour management and inclusive practices in classrooms.
