Role: Teacher
Salary: £130 - £160 per day (dependent on level of prior experience)
Location: Stoke-On-Trent

Responsibilities

THE ROLE OF A TEACHER IN A SEND SETTING

As a Teacher in our SEND provision, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and other learning difficulties. You will develop and deliver engaging, personalised learning experiences that cater to individual needs, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive academically and socially. With a strong focus on inclusive pedagogy, multi-sensory learning, cognitive development, and positive behaviour reinforcement, you will create an inclusive environment where students feel safe, valued, and empowered to succeed.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF A TEACHER

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs.
  • Support students with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and other SEND requirements.
  • Create a nurturing and structured classroom environment with small class sizes.
  • Implement EHCP (Education, Health, and Care Plan) targets into daily lessons.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and multi-disciplinary teams to support student progress.
  • Foster a growth mindset and resilience-building strategies through engaging activities and creative lesson planning.
  • Assess and track student progress, adapting teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure holistic support.
  • Promote independence and self-regulation in students through personalised learning strategies.
