Barrie, Springwater, Oro-Medonte | Part-Time | Contract | $25–$30/hour
S.M.A.R.T. Tutoring and Test Preparation Services is hiring passionate, qualified teachers and teacher candidates for one-on-one tutoring roles. We currently have students waiting to be matched with the right tutor in Barrie, Springwater, and Oro-Medonte (Simcoe County, Ontario).

Current Openings

• Grade 5 Math – Barrie
• Grade 2 Language, Reading – Barrie
• Grade 12 English – Springwater
• Grade 6 Math & Language – Oro-Medonte
• Grade 7 Math & Language – Springwater

Tutors are matched with students based on their teaching qualifications and experience.

Position Details

• Minimum commitment: 4 hours/week, Mon–Fri evenings (4:00–8:30 PM)
• Contract length: 12 months
• Provide personalized, 1:1 in-home tutoring
• Plan sessions using shared resources and student learning goals
• Submit brief progress notes and communicate with families

Requirements

• Bachelor of Education (or in progress)
• Strong knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Screening (upon hire)
• Reliable transportation with insurance
• OCT certification or Transitional Certificate preferred
• Additional Qualifications an asset
