Description St. John Vianney Catholic School is seeking an energetic and passionate 6th Grade Teacher that can teach all content areas in Spanish for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. A dynamic certified educator to teach in our 50/50 dual-language immersion program. The teacher will be responsible for teaching English Language Arts, Math, and Science. The teacher must be a qualified professional educator who meets the requirements to teach in a Catholic school in the Diocese of Orlando. Applicants must hold or be eligible for a valid Florida Educators certification, be self-motivated and energetic. ESE & ESOL certified a plus. SJVS is seeking applicants with knowledge of State Standards, technology integration, and standard-based instruction. Experience in evaluating, documenting, and communicating individual student growth, differentiation strategies, classroom management and willingness to participate in professional development opportunities, a plus. Applicants must be comfortable in a Catholic faith-based setting with a dedication to the St. John Vianney Catholic School mission. Requirements Job Responsibilities: The teacher will be expected to: Conduct 100% of instruction in the target language for that subject. Coordinate thematic instruction across languages. Teach grade level content in English Structure activities in the classroom to encourage students to engage in the target language. Create targeted and purposeful opportunities to foster cross-linguistic connections Cover assigned staff duties, including recess supervision, as well as other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the school administration. Integrate technology effectively into the classroom. Organize and direct lessons and activities related to the standards. Develop and document weekly lesson plans consistent with curriculum guidelines. Provide grade-appropriate instructional program of engaging and interactive activities/lessons. Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of St. John Vianney Catholic School and the teachings of the Catholic Church. Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management. Assess and document student progress. Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner. Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and professional development opportunities. Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administration Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from an Accredited College or University. Current Florida Teaching Certificate. Teaching experience preferred. Previous experience in a Catholic school setting is preferred. Requires an appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings.
