Description SUMMARY The Upper School mathematics department teaches Algebra I through Vector Calculus, including AP Statistics and AP Calculus, both BC and AB. For this position, the school seeks an outstanding educator for Upper School Math with expertise in a wide array of math courses. This is a full-time, 10-month, exempt position. Some evening and weekend work is required.? RESPONSIBILITIES? Teach four sections of mathematics. Mentor twelve to fourteen students as part of a comprehensive grade level Advisory team. Engage in the life of the school beyond the classroom. Requirements Qualifications and Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; master’s degree preferred. A minimum of three years of experience in an independent school environment teaching Upper School math. Experience teaching AP Calculus AB or BC is preferred. Experience in working with a TI-84 calculator and various computer technology. Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include teaching four sections of mathematics courses ranging from Algebra I through Vector Calculus, including AP offerings, and mentoring twelve to fourteen students as part of the grade level Advisory team. The educator is also expected to actively participate in the broader life of the school beyond classroom duties.
