Description PRESCHOOL TEACHER AIDE, PART-TIME St. Rita Catholic school is looking for a part-time classroom aide to work in our preschool classroom starting the 2026-2027 school year. Schedule Schedule will vary. All classes meet from 7:45am-3:00 pm Essential Job Functions • Support the Teacher in the execution of developmentally appropriate early childhood education experiences with a variety of materials in the areas of religion, art, music, literacy, science, mathematics. • Assist in supervising activities which promote the health, emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of each child consistent with Diocesan goals and objectives. • Provide and maintain a neat, safe, organized classroom; assists in taking responsibility for up- keep of all educational equipment and material. • Help children establish good habits of toileting and personal hygiene. Summary of Benefits Salary Description $15.00--$16.00 per hr Requirements Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Prefer a practicing Catholic with a knowledge of Catholic prayers, holidays, and teachings. • Ability to organize and coordinate work with teachers. • Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff. • Ability to engage in self-evaluation regarding performance and professional growth. • Professionalism expected in attire, communication, and demeanor. Qualifications Profile • Will be required to complete the Safe Environment requirements of the Rockford Diocese Virtus Online program. • Will be required to complete CPR/First Aid training.
