Responsibilities:

  • Deliver science instruction to Grades 9–12 through small-group classes and one-on-one lessons, with a focus on Chemistry, Physics, and/or Biology (at least 2 subjects).
  • Design individualized lesson plans that match each student’s learning level and academic goals.
  • Break down complex subject matter—such as algebra, calculus, mechanics, thermodynamics, chemical reactions, and biological processes—into clear, accessible explanations.
  • Support students in preparing for a variety of assessments, including standardized exams and advanced science and math tests.
  • Implement dynamic, interactive teaching strategies to strengthen students’ conceptual understanding and problem-solving abilities.
  • Provide ongoing, constructive feedback to guide students’ academic progress.
  • Create a positive, encouraging learning environment that nurtures critical thinking and high academic performance.

Requirements:

  • Languages: Proficiency in English
  • Subject expertise: Preferred with expertise in Mathematics, Physics and/or Chemistry at least two areas), with the ability to explain difficult concepts clearly.
  • Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
  • Curriculum knowledge: Experience with the Grade 3–12 curriculum in Math and sciense and proven ability to prepare students for advanced assessments and examinations.
  • Student-focused mindset: Patient, caring, and genuinely interested in supporting high school students’ academic and personal growth.
  • Classroom management: Able to maintain an organized and effective learning environment for both small groups and private lessons.
  • Flexibility: Comfortable adapting to new teaching approaches, technologies, and evolving academic standards.
  • Collaboration: Works well with colleagues and is willing to take on additional instructional responsibilities when needed.
  • Prior experience teaching high school Science is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and team members.
