We are looking for a Teaching Assistant (1:1) to join us in September. The successful candidate will need to have relevant experience in working with primary-aged children, a proven high standard of both spoken and written English, the ability to communicate effectively with children and adults is essential, together with a friendly and approachable manner. The successful candidate will be able to work using their own initiative and demonstrate effective behaviour management skills. In return, you will join a supportive environment with plenty of development opportunities within the academy and across the wider Trust.
You will collaborate with teachers in delivering programmes of teaching and learning activities and wellbeing support for children identified as needing 1:1 support. You will have experience in working with children with a range of SEND needs including ASC and ADHD, as well as showing an understanding of sensory needs and de-escalation techniques. The successful candidate will be placed in Reception (Foundation Stage).
This role offers an actual salary of £16,954 per annum (£22,366 full time equivalent) based on 32.75 hours per week, Term time + 1 week of inset. The working hours for this role are 8:30am - 3:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8:15am - 3:30pm on Friday. Although this position is offered on a fixed-term basis for the remainder of the academic year, there will potentially be scope to make this a permanent position thereafter.
