Salary: TA - Grade D £25,185 - £25,989 per annum pro rata as term time only   MDSA - Grade B £24,796 (£12.85 per hour pro rata) Hours of work: 8.40am-3.15pm TA (27 hours 55 minutes per week) and 12.00pm-12.30pm MDSA (2 hours 30 minutes per week) working during term time only. We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant and MDSA/Playleader to support children at St John’s Catholic Primary School. For some candidates this could be the springboard into teacher training. The successful candidate will be someone who: * Is keen to support the Catholic ethos of our school, knowing all are welcome.  * Is professional, flexible and able to work collaboratively with other members of the staff team.  * Is an excellent communicator committed to being part of an effective team within the whole school community.  * Enjoys working with children, is patient, understanding and caring.  * Has a willingness to undertake training * Has excellent behaviour management skills  * Is self-motivated and reliable * Is enthusiastic with a good sense of humour * Will undertake lunchtime support for 30 minutes per day being part of our OPAL team * No experience of being a Teaching Assistant required In return we can offer a very supportive and friendly working environment, all necessary training and children who are a joy to teach.
