Teaching Assistant (SEND – One-to-One Support)
Location: Wood Green, London N22
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only (8:30–15:30, 32.5 hours/week)

Role Overview
We are looking for someone to work with a boy in Year 6 who has SEND some anxiety around learning. The role entails ensuring he can access and engage with the KS2 curriculum. You’ll collaborate closely with the class teacher, Inclusion Lead and SENCo to create a structured, nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver bespoke learning activities linked to the pupil’s EHCP targets
  • Support the pupil’s emotional wellbeing using mindfulness, social stories and sensory breaks
  • Facilitate small-group and whole-class sessions in literacy, numeracy and PSHE
  • Adapt and prepare resources to suit diverse learning needs
  • Monitor, record and evaluate progress; contribute to termly reviews and reports
  • Liaise with parents, external professionals (e.g., educational psychologists, speech therapists) and school staff
  • Maintain safeguarding and health-and-safety records in line with school policy
