OVERVIEW

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support our educators in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment based in a Comprehensive School based in North Cardiff.
The ideal candidates will have a passion for working with High School Students keen to enjoy learning through their syllabus. This role involves assisting in the classroom, implementing lesson plans, and fostering the growth and development of students.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • DBS that is registered on the update service would be an added advantage, however one can be arranged at the cost of the applicant if selected to join the team.
  • Experience working with children would be advantageous. Whether in a learning environment or experience gained in other areas of life and support.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development milestones again advantageous.
  • Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff. Applications from overseas will be considered providing that communication skills are clear and functional.
  • Experience with lesson planning, curriculum development, and implementing educational activities would be a strong plus.
  • A passion for teaching and nurturing young minds is essential.

  • Support students in their daily activities and learning processes.
  • Engage in effective behavior management strategies to promote a positive classroom atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop curriculum materials that enhance literacy and math education.
  • Facilitate communication between students and educators.
  • Provide care children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Maintain classroom organization and manage supplies to create an effective learning environment.
  • Foster social skills among students through structured group activities and one-on-one interactions.
  • Document student progress and assist in assessments as needed.
