Dept. Faculty teaching the lab and/or directing the research Pay Rate (Check One) x Standard Hourly Rate Supervisory/Special Skills Hourly Rate Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position): Students work with Biology Department Faculty to prepare for labs. Students also assist Faculty and students during lab sessions. Transferable Skills: Communication Human Relations Problem Solving Motivation/Leadership Essential Work Skills Research/Quantitative Organization/Planning Technical Duties and Responsibilities: Help prepare lab session materials Assist students during lab sessions Clean and organize lab Correct lab manuals/classroom work Safely dispose of lab waste using autoclave Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills) Successful completion of the lab student is assisting Dependable and punctual Experience with lab solution/reagent making Experience with a diverse array of lab equipment Able to work with minimal supervision Knowledge of lab safety procedures Wage Range: $11.75-12.75 This job description is for general information purposes. Responsibilities
Students work with Biology Department Faculty to prepare for labs and assist during lab sessions. They also help clean and organize the lab and ensure safe disposal of lab waste.
