JOB OPPORTUNITY: TEACHING ASSISTANT

Location: Carlisle and Penrith Area
Hannett Hale Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support educators in local schools. We are offering flexible opportunities for daily cover and longer-term placements for the remainder of the academic year, as well as positions for September and beyond.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments
• A passion for supporting students in their learning journey
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certification) preferred

EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):

Working with children: 1 year - Classroom experience: 1 year

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Are you passionate about education and supporting young learners? As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work alongside teachers to create a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment while helping students reach their full potential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

✅ Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons
✅ Provide one-on-one and group support to students
✅ Help maintain a positive and structured classroom environment
✅ Support children with special educational needs (SEN) when required
✅ Prepare learning materials and assist with lesson planning
✅ Encourage student confidence, engagement, and participation
