Required as soon as possible: The Governors and Head Teacher of Fellside Community Primary School are looking to appoint a positive, caring, and experienced Teaching Assistant to work in our Early Years Nursery Class. We are seeking a kind, inspiring practitioner who will demonstrate excellent classroom practice and who would be committed to raising standards in our successful and caring school. The successful candidate will

  • Hold a recognised NVQ level 3 teaching assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Possess excellent literacy and mathematics skills
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have high expectations of all pupils and themselves
  • Be a committed team member,
  • Be committed to professional development
  • Possess an understanding of how best to support children’s personal, social and emotional wellbeing.
  • Have knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and experience in its delivery
  • Hold a current and relevant first-aid qualification (or be willing to work towards achieving this)
  • Be able to motivate and inspire children to learn
  • Be able to use ICT to support learning

Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year, they are subject to an equated salary adjustment.
