Are you dedicated to inclusion and supporting young people with SEND to be fully prepared for adult life? We are looking for dedicated and inspirational teaching assistants to come and join our amazing, warm and supportive team.
Redwood is a large special school for pupils with a wide range of complex SEND from 11-19. This is an exciting time for Redwood; demand for places is high and we have a new and experienced headteacher in post. At Redwood, every person matters, and you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of our incredible and diverse children and young people.

There are different opportunities available, and we are interested in hearing from people who have a passion for leading learning activities. There are different areas you can specialise in, and you can express preference and skillset in any of the following:

• Job coaching
• Independent travel training
• Cover Supervision
• Pastoral Support
• Communication
• Therapy

• To work with teachers or leads, supporting teaching and learning by providing specialist support to individual students, small groups and/or leading learning activities within an area of specialism.
• To deliver whole class teaching cover, for example during teacher’s PPA time or due to staff absence where relevant to the role deployment
• To deliver 121 and small group intervention both in and out of the classroom.
• To be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Review and assess student progress
