Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and dynamic team at Meon Infant School, part of the Meon Way Federation. You will play a vital role in providing high-quality teaching and learning support under the guidance of classroom teachers, helping to make learning engaging, accessible and inclusive for all pupils.
At Meon Infant School, we believe in creating a nurturing, safe and stimulating environment where both pupils and staff feel valued and empowered. You will be joining a forward thinking team committed to inclusion, development and outstanding learning experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver* tailored support to pupils* under the direction of the Classroom Teacher
  • Coach and support pupils’ learning by supervising and assisting them in 1:1 sessions and small groups
  • Help pupils engage across a variety of learning activities and interventions
  • Supervise pupils during lunchtime, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment both in the dining hall and playground
  • Work collaboratively with staff to ensure pupils have access to the resources they need to succeed
