EYFS Teaching Assistant – Full Time

📍 Location: PR9 Area📅 Start Date: ASAP📄 Contract: Long-term⏰ Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday (8:30am–3:30pm)

Role OverviewMilk Education is recruiting a caring and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the PR9 area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young children and helping them develop academically, socially and emotionally.You will work closely with the class teacher to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment, supporting children with their early development and day-to-day learning.

Classroom & School SupportSupportive and welcoming primary school environment
Work alongside an experienced EYFS class teacher
Opportunities to support children on both a 1:1 and small-group basis
Collaborative EYFS team and supportive senior leadership
Access to additional SEN support where required

Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the class teacher with the delivery of engaging EYFS activities
Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils
Support children with their communication, language, literacy and numeracy development
Encourage independence, confidence and positive social development
Support children with SEN and additional learning needs
Help manage behaviour using positive and nurturing strategies
Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of resources
Support continuous provision and child-led learning
Build positive relationships with children, staff and parents
Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times

What We’re Looking ForPrevious experience working within EYFS or Early Years
A genuine passion for supporting young children
Experience supporting pupils with SEN is desirable
A patient, caring and nurturing approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to support children both independently and as part of a team
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
