Key Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging, curriculum-based lessons for Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support, including for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Help create a positive, inclusive classroom environment through effective behaviour management.
  • Encourage learning through literacy, numeracy, and creative activities.
  • Assist with classroom resources, school trips, assemblies, and extracurricular activities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous, though candidates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Skills: Strong communication, patience, adaptability, and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Attributes: Enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to supporting children’s development.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with the primary curriculum or SEN support is beneficial but not required.
