Key Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant

• Support teachers in delivering lessons across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support, including with pupils who have Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Assist with behaviour management and encourage a positive learning environment.
• Support literacy, numeracy, and creative learning activities.
• Help with classroom resources, school trips, and extracurricular activities.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: Previous Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or classroom support experience is desirable but not essential.
• Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications are an advantage but not required.
• Skills: Excellent communication, patience, adaptability, and teamwork.
• Attributes: Enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to supporting children’s education.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with the primary curriculum or SEN support is beneficial.
