Description

The Teaching Assistant (TA) will assist instructors with non-instructional tasks, will serve as an instructor for the Air Traffic Basics course, and will interact with students in specific situations. Qualifications Candidates for the Teaching Assistant must have an associate degree in aviation from an accredited college or university, or a minimum of 1 year being a Teaching Assistant or similar experience in a STEM field or have one year of relevant aviation experience (i.e. former CTI instructor, flight dispatcher, flight/airline coordinator). Candidates will receive FAA general and course specific training and will be certified by the FAA to meet specific defined job duties and responsibilities. Teaching Assistants may apply for Instructor I (Academy) classification after they have completed a minimum of two years as a TA. US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
