EdEx are exclusively working with a mainstream primary school in Lewisham to find a Teaching Assistant who can support children with Speech, Language & Communication difficulities. You will work with various children in lessons, as well as providing dedicated Speech and Language interventions with small groups of children outside of the classroom.
You will work alongside the SENCO, as well as gaining the opporutnity to meet and shadow qualified Speech and Language therapists, Educational Psychologists and more.

WHAT EXPERIENCE WILL YOU NEED TO DO THESE ASPIRING SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPIST - TEACHING ASSISTANT ROLES?

• A graduate with a 1st Class or 2:1 - subject isn’t a barrier, ideally from a reputable university
• Good A-Levels and GCSEs - including English at GCSE
• Previous experience supporting children, young people or adolescents - Essential

• This can be tutoring, nannying, babysitting, volunteering or personal experience!

ROLE DETAILS - ASPIRING SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPIST - TEACHING ASSISTANT:

• Teaching Assistant - Supporting various needs and SP&L
• Monday to Friday - No weekends
• School Hours - typically 8:30am - 4:30pm
• £105 - £115 per day - paid weekly (Term Time Only)
• September 2025 / ASAP Starts
• Long term contract - at least for an academic year - Sept 25 - July 26 (scope for a permanent contract if interested from Sept 26)
