OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support the educational development of students, particularly those with special needs. REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting, is essential.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Experience in tutoring or mentoring roles is an advantage.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and supporting classroom management.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, particularly those with disabilities or special educational needs.
  • Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with autism and other learning challenges.
  • Foster a positive and engaging learning environment through encouragement and mentorship.
  • Support students in developing their social skills and communication abilities.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding individual student needs.
  • Assist in preparing teaching materials and resources for lessons.
  • Maintain a safe and organised classroom environment conducive to learning.
