We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality education and creating a safe, engaging learning environment for all students. The successful candidate will assist with instructional tasks, classroom management, student supervision, and administrative duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is an asset.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting student development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email, etc.).
  • Any required background checks or certifications (e.g., DBS, First Aid, CPR) as per local regulations.

SKILLS

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience and empathy when working with students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
  • Basic understanding of child development principles and educational practices.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with students and staff.
  • A passion for education and a desire to support student learning is crucial.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.

Responsibilities
  • Support the teacher in planning and delivering lessons and activities.
  • Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
  • Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and classroom resources.
  • Provide one-on-one support for students with special educational needs or learning difficulties.
  • Supervise students in the classroom, during recess, lunch, and on field trips.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and promote positive social interactions.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as grading, photocopying, and maintaining student records.
  • Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and child protection protocols.
