TEACHING ASSISTANT – INDEPENDENT SPECIALIST SCHOOL (PERMANENT)

Location: Peterborough
Salary: £20,000 per annum
Hours: 38.5 per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm (Wednesdays until 5:00pm)

We’re now looking for a positive, caring and proactive Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in Peterborough.

As a Teaching Assistant at our Independent Specialist School, you’ll play a vital part in both classroom and 1:1 support. Working closely with our skilled teachers, you will:

  • Support students with a wide range of needs, focusing on communication and social development.
  • Provide tailored support in small groups or individually.
  • Help create a stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment.
  • Support behaviour management with a proactive, calm approach.
  • Always keep safeguarding and the wellbeing of our students as your top priority

  • Desirable: Teaching Assistant Qualification
  • Essential: Good numeracy and literacy skills (Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent)
  • A solid understanding of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
  • A caring, patient, and resilient nature
  • A full clean UK driving licenc
