Department of Cultural and Religious Studies Teaching Assistant (Ref. 260000RW) Closing Date: May 26, 2026 The MA Programmes in the Graduate Division of Cultural Studies are seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant for the academic year 2026-27. Applicants should have (i) a Master’s degree related to Cultural Studies or Cultural Management; (ii) 1-2 years’ work experience, including experience in organizing and promoting online and offline talks, workshops, and activities; and (iii) possess proficient language ability (including Cantonese, Putonghua and English) and good communication skills. Experience as a teaching assistant is beneficial but not necessary. The appointee will support both MA in Cultural Management and MA in Intercultural Studies programmes and will assist in (a) conducting class and tutorials; (b) holding consultation sessions on students’ assignments; (c) organizing programme and course activities and field trips; and (d) other tasks as assigned by both MA Programme Directors. Appointment will initially be made on a contract basis for one year commencing August/September 2026, renewable subject to performance and mutual agreement.

Responsibilities

The appointee will support MA programmes by conducting classes, tutorials, and student consultation sessions. They will also organize course activities, field trips, and other tasks assigned by Programme Directors.
