Department/ Unit: Department of Computer Science and Engineering Closing Date: April 9, 2026 The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is looking for strong candidates for a full-time position of Teaching Assistant in the related areas of computer science, computer engineering, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or data analytics. Applicants should have (i) a good honours degree in a relevant discipline; (ii) basic knowledge in Excel and Python/R programming; (iii) a good command of written and spoken English & Chinese; (iv) good presentation skills; (v) interest in teaching undergraduate students and assist with student matters; (vi) a meticulous attitude, a strong sense of responsibility with good interpersonal and management skills; and (vii) willingness to work under pressure. The appointee will assist in the teaching of our Digital Literacy and Computational Thinking course that we offer to all CUHK students. Job duties include: (a) supervision of computer lab sessions, (b) student tutoring, (c) preparation of course materials, (d) grading, student consultation or supervision, and (e) other duties as assigned. Applicants must submit copies of certificates showing that they have fulfilled the academic qualifications stated above. Otherwise, their applications will NOT be considered. Appointment will initially be made on a 1(or 2)-year contract (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract) commencing from August 2026, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
