A Diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a strong asset. Experience: At least 1 year of experience working directly with children, preferably in a childcare setting with children up to 12 years of age. Certifications Required Standard First Aid with CPR Level C Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check Proof of up-to-date immunization for TB, Tetanus, and MMR Skills & Characteristics Strong interpersonal and communication skills Knowledge of “How Does Learning Happen?” is an asset Commitment to confidentiality, flexibility, and minimal supervision Advocacy for diversity, equality, and inclusion Key Responsibilities: Collaborating with staff to deliver age-appropriate programs that foster cognitive, physical, social, cultural, and emotional development. Supervising children and ensuring a safe environment by proactively identifying and addressing potential hazards. Applying consistent behaviour guidance in line with UFCC’s Child Care Centre Program Policy. Assisting with daily tasks such as organizing food carts, disinfecting tables, sweeping floors, and managing laundry as needed.
