Position: General Teaching Assistant - UES1

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic individual looking to support children in their educational journey? A welcoming primary school in Barnet is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team and make a real difference in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Assist pupils in small groups or on a 1:1 basis to enhance their learning and confidence.
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Provide support during lessons, interventions, and activities across the curriculum.
• Work collaboratively with the teaching team to promote pupils’ academic and personal development.

Requirements:

• Experience in primary education is essential, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
• GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent) are mandatory.
• Level 2 or 3 qualifications in childcare or education are desirable but not essential.
• A valid DBS on the Update Service, or the willingness to obtain one.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and positive attitude.
