Contract: Permanent, Part-time (24.25 hours per week, 38 weeks per year)
Salary: NJC Scale 2, SP 3-4 (FTE: £24,027 - £24,404/ Actual: £13,167 - £13,374 per annum)
Start date: April 2025
Steeple Bumpstead Primary School is a friendly one-form entry primary school located close to Haverhill and part of the Unity Schools Partnership. We are seeking an excellent teaching assistant to join our team. The post will be a mixture of general classroom support and support for individual children based in our Year 2 class in the first instance. The post will be working 5 mornings and 3 afternoons each week.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is calm, positive and patient
  • will support our trauma informed schools approach
  • is passionate about supporting every child to achieve
  • has the interpersonal skills to develop positive and supportive relationships with children, colleagues and parents
  • is able to use their own initiative and can ‘think on their feet’
  • is efficient and organised
  • has experience working with children with special educational needs
