Vara Sports and Education is a growing company dedicated to inspiring the next generation. We are seeking an enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting teachers during the school day, ensuring children are engaged, safe, and learning effectively.

Key Details

  • Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
  • Pay: Competitive, dependent on age and experience
  • Contract: Term-time only (14 weeks school holidays) or 52 weeks with 28 days paid holiday
  • Additional Work: Opportunities to support at our holiday camps during school breaks

Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
  • Provide small-group interventions to assist children’s learning
  • Ensure all children are engaged, safe, and supported effectively
  • Assist children with SEND needs, promoting inclusion at all times

Skills and Requirements

  • Strong communicator and motivator with the ability to build positive relationships
  • Team player: reliable, flexible, and committed
  • Highly organised with good time management
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (desirable)
  • Experience working with SEND children (highly desirable)
  • DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
