The appointee will play an important role, together with the other Clinical Teaching Fellows, in all of the Undergraduate Clinical Teaching programmes. Each year group of students will have their allocated Teaching Fellow however cross cover of service delivery and teamworking is essential. The post holder will be part of a team located within the North Tees Undergraduate Centre, appointed to deliver Medical School curriculum and will be required to work cross site at the Hartlepool Education Unit. The appointee will support the Block leads (University of Sunderland) and Year leads (Newcastle University) in planning, delivering and evaluating speciality teaching.
This post is an exciting opportunity for a trainee with an interest in education to work in a well-respected Trust, which has gained a reputation for delivering high quality education. There will be support in furthering your own teaching development as well as the chance to work in a truly multidisciplinary team. The post holder will be teaching across the clinically years of the curriculum (years 3-5), as well as being involved with 1st and 2nd year hospital visit students so experience of teaching Undergraduate student and simulation is essential. It is also expected, that the post holder will teach in various settings clinical placement and within the Medical Schools on various topics.
Teaching and audit are priorities for the Trust and the Education Centre is well-resourced and actively used. There is, a well-stocked Library with excellent IT facilities for study and research. Clinical meetings are held between the various clinical departments. There are strong links with the professorial departments based at North Tees and an expanding involvement in undergraduate teaching
