Responsibilities

The University of Portsmouth has a history of teaching and research in clinical and practice-based subjects and is expanding academic development in new and emerging health and social care fields and roles. We are committed to providing the students on our courses with a sound knowledge and evidence base that will prepare them to be safe and effective practitioners. We have a commitment to innovative learning methodologies, supported by superb simulation resources.
Applications are invited from a Registered Paramedic / Allied Health Professional for a Teaching Fellow or Senior Teaching Fellow with experience of working within an educational role and or a mentorship / practice facilitation role with a demonstrable history of supporting / teaching Student Paramedics or other Allied Health Professionals. The applicant would need to demonstrate a track record of engaging in evidence-based practice.
The successful applicant will be encouraged to participate in activities across the Faculty of Science and Health and with external partners in Health, Social Care and Higher Education organisations.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to give a small micro teaching session followed by a formal interview.

The working pattern for this position is 0.8FTE, 29.6 hours per week.
