Trinity is offering a unique experience to build your professional identity in teaching and give yourself a great head start to your teaching career.
Working one day a week while you undertake tertiary studies, as a Trinity teaching intern you will be provided training, support and access to explore what it is like to work in a high-performing school, whilst practising the skills and sharing the knowledge you have gained through your studies.
This is an amazing opportunity to be part of a high-quality team, working in a faculty (of your teaching specialisation) within a large school setting. In this internship you will be afforded the opportunity to be involved in professional learning teams, sharing ideas, and learning with other educational professionals.
Trinity will create a safe space for you to explore, experiment and discover your professional practice and build on your teaching ‘toolkit’ to become an outstanding educator. Through hands-on practice you will become comfortable with teaching the curriculum whilst developing your skills in student management across a wide range of settings both inside and outside the classroom.
You will gain insight into our expansive pastoral care system, getting to know the individual students in your care whilst developing an understanding of the different aspects of holistic Christian education. You will also be provided opportunities to be involved in the myriad of co-curricular offerings, whether that be coaching a sporting team, playing music, working with our debating teams or managing the robotics club. The choices are practically endless.
We will partner you with a formal mentor and a coach to answer all your questions and help you navigate the complexities of school-life as you transition into your teaching career. We will provide you with all the resources and support you need to succeed.
As part of the program, you will undertake your final practicum experience with us, after which you will be prepared to launch your career.
If you have a strong academic record, and are a highly organised and resilient individual, eager to be challenged then this is a great opportunity for you.
We can’t wait to meet the next generation of quality teachers. Applications will close 8am Monday 8th September 2025.
Please apply through our website and make sure you include a copy of your latest academic transcripts with your application to help us match your talents to the right faculty.
