__________ DEPARTMENT OF ANATOMY | TE TARI KIKOKIKO FACULTY OF BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES | TE KAUPEKA MĀTAI ROKOĀ-KOIORA About our team | Mō te tīma Anatomy has been taught at Otago since 1875. Initially it was taught as a core component of the University’s medical degree but over the years it has evolved into the multi-disciplinary research-intensive department it is today. The role | Te mahi As a Teaching Laboratory Technician within our dedicated team, you will provide technical support to undergraduate science teaching in the Department of Anatomy. Duties will include: • Preparing class materials. • Setting up the laboratory and servicing the requirements of the teaching laboratories. • Conducting trial runs of experimental techniques. Evening work (to 7.30pm) is an essential component of this position. Your skills and experience | Kā pūkeka me kā wheako • BSc (Hons) graduate or have relevant research level laboratory experience. • Excellent knowledge and understanding of molecular biology and immunohistochemical techniques. • Able to work without close supervision and meet deadlines. • Maintain a high standard of work. • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
