Pay Band: 4 / H Country/Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka Department: Operations Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract - 1 year Closing Date: Monday, 27th October 2025- 23:59 Malaysia Time (GMT +8) Role Purpose The Teaching Operations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of teaching operations across Sri Lanka by managing processes, maintaining compliance, and supporting operational activities in partner centres. The role provides essential coordination and logistical support to uphold quality and consistency in service delivery. Role Accountabilities The Teaching Operations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient teaching operations by delivering administrative and customer service support, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and risk procedures. The role includes coordinating logistics for teaching activities and events, managing resources, responding to customer enquiries, supporting process improvements, and liaising with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues promptly. Additionally, the role involves planning and prioritising work, monitoring task completion, and coordinating others to maintain high-quality service delivery. Role specific skills, knowledge and experience We are looking for someone with experience in a customer-focused environment who can coordinate resources efficiently and is confident using Microsoft Office. Experience in a teaching centre or exposure to recruitment processes is a plus. Further Information Language: Strong English proficiency is crucial for this role, requiring fluency in both written and spoken communication to effectively navigate British Council systems and international operations. Education: A diploma or university degree in a relevant field is required Locally recruited: Applications are welcomed from candidates currently in this location with a natural right to work.
