SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Chief Academic Officer, the Teaching Partner will support classroom instruction and student learning in partnership with lead teachers and play an integral role in promoting academic, social-emotional, and behavioral success for all students. This position provides meaningful experience for individuals pursuing careers in education and offers valuable exposure to effective instructional practices, school culture, and professional learning communities. Confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information is required at all times.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Collaborate closely with lead teachers to deliver differentiated, engaging, and rigorous instruction. Provide small group and one-on-one support to students to reinforce lesson objectives and adapt instruction to meet diverse needs. Assist in planning, preparing, and organizing instructional materials and classroom activities.
Help maintain a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment. Support classroom management strategies and reinforcing expectations for student behavior. Monitor and documenting student progress under the guidance of the lead teacher. Participate in professional development, common planning, and instructional coaching opportunities.
Build strong relationships with students and promoting a positive, inclusive classroom culture. Communicate effectively with colleagues and participating as an active member of the school community. Support the mission, vision, and instructional goals of TIMES2 and Providence Public Schools. Report to the main office upon arrival.
Follow classroom schedules and support transitions, lunch, recess, and other activities. Assist in implementing classroom procedures and routines. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards at all times. Comply with all school and district policies, as well as applicable state and federal regulations.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Associates degree Junior standing in an accredited undergraduate program Strong collaboration and communication skills Proficiency with instructional technology and digital tools Commitment to inclusive, student-centered practices Eagerness to grow professionally and support colleagues’ development Respect for the individuality of each student and dedication to equity Ability to work effectively with diverse populations of students, families, and staff. Bilingual or multilingual skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with others in both verbal and written format. Ability to appropriately handle confidential information in accordance with district policies.
Documentation of a clear BCI.SCHEDULE: 10-month, part-time position, 30 hours/week, 6 hours/day, Monday through Friday, includes 20-minutelunch break
