Responsibilities

It’s an exciting time to be working in housing at Bath & North East Somerset. We are implementing an organisational change programme and have recently launched our Housing Plan 2025-30 which sets out ambitious actions for housing over the next 5 years.
About the Role
The role is primarily based at the Civic Centre in Keynsham with occasional working at other locations and some working at home by agreement. You will work primarily with either the Housing Standards team or the Housing Options team but may on occasions work with other teams across the service.
We aim for high standards of customer service and are seeking 2 highly motivated individuals to join us to be responsible for providing general administrative support within Housing Services.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide general administrative support including responding to enquiries by telephone or email
  • Arrange and co-ordinate meetings, book appointments, attend meetings to take notes and arrange for their distribution
  • Use of information management and other systems to record and retrieve service information
  • process of purchase orders and invoices
  • assisting with housing standards enforcement
  • assisting housing options with customer calls and accommodation placements.
  • Assisting with debt recovery and making inspection appointments with property owners/managers.
