We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Administrator to join our Administration Unit. The Administration Unit is responsible for providing administrative support to The Salvation Army’s senior leaders and managers across the United Kingdom and Ireland Territory.

In this role you will provide professional and pro-active support to a number of centralised functions/departments across the territory including:

  • Managing mail-drops daily ensuring timely and appropriate responses to e-mails.
  • Arranging meetings, assisting in the preparation of agendas and presentations for these meetings and circulating paperwork with all necessary details so that meetings run smoothly.
  • Attending strategic, mission and governance and formal HR meetings, taking minutes to a high standard either in person or by video conference and follow up on assigned tasks.
  • Assisting departments in other aspects of administration, project work and database management, booking travel and accommodation, to support departmental efficiency.
  • Use of the Salvation Army and other accounting systems to process financial transactions to support timely payment and accurate record keeping.
  • You will be prepared to undertake occasional travel to attend meetings, events or training.

We are looking for an experienced secretary/administrator who has proven experience of working within a busy deadline driven environment with the ability to multitask, along with experience of accurate minute taking and reporting writing.
You will be a strong communicator and have excellent IT and organisational skill and will have the ability to work on your own initiative.
